Thank you to Sam Jones for his recent trip to shoot the dojo, some fantastic shots!!!

The dojo was founded by Lee O'Connell in November 2006. We have a great family and team environment with some very hard practice! We have produced british team members, National Champions, dan grades and kyu grades of a great standard. We often have many high ranking Kendo sensei visit us from all over the UK and attend various seminars and competitions, which is a vital part of continued study.
The founder and head instructor, Lee O'Connell, began training in Kendo in 1995 with Swindells Sensei and Konishi Sensei. He is currently rated 4th dan and has almost 30 years experience in martial arts. Lee is part of the Kobudokan shiai team, who currenlty are the winners of the 2009 Sir Frank Bowden Taikai. Lee started Karate-Do at an early age and is currently Sandan, and has studied  Aikido, Kobudo, Kyusho-Jutsu and competed for the British Ju-Jitsu team, winning 3 national championships and european medals.
